Dr. Julian Bastgen

 

Dr. Julian Bastgen is a partner at EbelHofer Strategy & Management Consultants in the Cologne office. For over ten years, he has been advising B2B companies from various industries with a primary focus on pricing and sales topics.

In his projects, he has worked with international clients in the fields of technology, automotive, base materials, medtech, retail, and wholesale on issues related to pricing, sales, strategy, and digitization. He is an expert in data-driven segmentation, price and discount models, as well as pricing tools for complex product and customer landscapes. The developed tools have been successfully implemented even in conservative sales teams.

Dr. Julian Bastgen studied business administration with a focus on marketing, strategy, and supply chain management at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, and the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University (both in the USA). Following his studies, he completed a doctorate at the WHU Chair of Sales Management and Business-to-Business Marketing on the topic of "Planning at the Interface between Sales and Operations." In addition to his work at EbelHofer Consultants, he acts as lecturer at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.
